Using the Screenshot Annotation Tool

The screenshot annotation tool needs Flash Player 9 or higher to be enabled in your browser.

The Toolbar at the top of the page shows all the available annotation elements and edit options.

The Sidebar on the left side shows element properties, and the thumbnail of the screenshot you are editing. The red overlay on the thumbnail shows the part of the image that you are seeing in the main area. You can drag it to select another part of the image.

Annotation elements

pencil - Freehand drawing. This is the default selection.

element - A highlight box. You can add text to it.

text - Text label.

pointer - An arrow with a text label.

Edit options

trash - Delete the currently selected element.

undo - Undo the last action.

redo - Redo the last action.

fullScreen - Switch to the fullscreen mode. Note: due to limitations in the Flash Player, it is not possible to enter text while you are in the fullscreen mode.

save - Save the current image and exit. If the Auto-Crop option is enabled (it is by default), LogDigger will automatically crop the screenshot image to a smaller one. The cropped image will keep all of your annotations.

exit - Exit without saving.
